"Give me a fish... Teach me to fish..."
We are in a day and age where, "beggin's the new hustle". Everywhere u go, there's somebody, on some corner, with some sign or some bucket, BEGGIN'. But, what kind of morals are we teaching our kids, when we have them on the corner asking for handout to go to a national track meet, basketball, or football game. Why not give them a sign that says "Car Wash, Bake Sale, Garage Sale, etc. to help raise money for...". Instead of teaching our kids to survive, it's more like we're teaching them to get by, and that's no longer acceptable. We need to go back to the old school method, lets stop crippling our youth. Let's stop giving them a fish to eat, and start teaching them to fish... -Lesli Brown
